The goal of any experienced SEO is a compelling user experience that is easily discovered in the search result. The quantity and quality will help you to build trust with search engine rank.
Important to know:
You can’t pay for your website or page to rank higher
To understand the value of SEO, I am going to break it down into 3 pieces:
- Organic search
- Quality traffic
- Quantity of traffic
1. Organic Search
On every search engine, the first 2 and sometimes more than 2 results are paid ads or PPC (pay-per-click). which is for any SERP (Search Engine Result Page). You can see organic search results at the bottom of paid ads. They are positioned and ranked based on the search engine.
Here is an example of my search on google:
As you see from the result of my search, the top 4 are paid searches, and the rest are organic searches, which means they didn’t pay to be on the first page, and they have enough valuable content to be on the first-page result.
2. Quality traffic
Quality of traffic is an outcome of providing your visitor the relevant content and experience. High-quality traffic includes only visitors interested in the service, information, product, data, or other resources on your website. The quality of traffic means a higher conversion rate and a chance the visitor will get your service or any goal on your website.
3. Quantity of traffic
The simple explanation of quantity traffic is the number of visitors who reach your site organically by the search result. But quantity and quality work together to receive better results. You need SEO strategies to get a better ranking and understand how SEO works.
SEO has everything to do with quantity and quality. SEO requires a lot of action and time. You cannot do this today and expect to see the result quickly. To make good SEO, you must make a daily plan and aim for long-term success.
We understand that SEO is essential to learn because it makes your website more visible, which means more traffic.
3. How Does SEO Works?
(This is an important part, please read it carefully)
You must first learn how search works to rank your content higher in search engines.
This is How the search engine works:
Search engines like (Google or Bing) use crawlers or (spider bots) to gather information about all information content they can find help on the internet. They check every link on the page, search page by page, and link by link to get the result. The crawlers check every title, context, and link of your website, helping the crawler understand what each page is about. The Crawlers copy all of the databases into the index.
Let’s make it simpler to understand how SEO Works with an example:
Think of the search engine as the most extensive library in the world, and when you go to the library, you call for help and tell the front desk what you are looking for, and they guide you to the right section to find what you want.
Crawlers are like the ones working in the library, and they know where the book is, but what if the section name is wrong and it’s not right? They get confused and try to find another thing, precisely what is happening on your web pages elsewhere.
When a user types something into the search box, the search engine uses a complex to pull out the most accurate and valuable results list. These organic results can include text, video, images, local businesses, etc.
When we make a website, these crawlers start checking all the titles and keywords on our page and links, which is very important to understand; Spamming keywords won’t help you to get rank.
To get ranked on google first, we need to understand what Google wants to get the google rank. And what Google wants is simply to give the best result to customers. But it’s on some terms and conditions. Simple to say, but it’s not simple to do.
Ranking can only happen once the search engine has crawled and indexed your site; your site can be ranked.
There are so many ranking signals that search engines use to sort and rank content, and they all fit under the three cores of SEO:
- Technical Optimization
- On-Page optimization
- Off-Page optimization
